This just in from Zhengwei at Plan: This is a local Beijing NGO and I guess this program will bring added value in terms of consoling. The project will collect volunteers with physiology expertise and send them in teams to do the consoling work near the earthquake site. It mainly focuses on helping those children who experienced this terrible trauma but has to stand the strong suffer all by themselves. Those volunteers will stay in the camp and will go to the site everyday to consol the children or some adults who need the help. When you see the eyes of those children who have been luckily saved, you know they are in a terror that’s way stronger than what they can stand. For this project, both volunteers with expertise in consoling(university students with according majors or professionals) and cash donation will be needed. Currently they’ve the need of around 100,000RMB for the startup work and the first team will leave tomorrow to settle up the site there.
