A Program Screaming For Corporate Support

September 22nd, 2008 by Rich

If there were ever a program in the waiting, it is this one, and I challendge a firm that has been looking for an out of the box program to take this one on.

working with orphanes of prisoners, this orphanage is dealing with some of the fundamental issues and stigmas that China faces.  the children, not offenders themselves, essentially are on their own and were it not for the founder and director of this orphanage they wouldn’t have a place to go.

    Adam,

With regard to the ability to report, I agree. The fact they are able to report anything at all is something, but I think it is important to keep in mind that the scandals of last year (Wuxi, Shaanxi, & Barbie) did a lot to force the hand.

Specifically to this issue though, the fact that they are only reporting a small amount of cases shows that we have a long way to go. there are some 40,000 cases officially reported a year, but many times more than that, of kidnapping for marriage/ manufacturing/ sex industry… but yet only a few stories are coming public.

One can only hope that at some point stories turn into larger investigations and solutions.
